These 6 kinds of flowers have a super long flowering period, and one pot can bloom for 365 days!

Catharanthus roseus

Flowering period: Blooming all year round

Although vinca major is just a small grass flower, it can bloom almost all year round in warm places. Put a pot of it at home and you will have flowers to enjoy all year round!

Maintenance points:

1. Expose it to more sunlight. The more sunlight it gets, the more flowers it will bloom. Usually place it on the south balcony or south windowsill, or outdoors if conditions permit.

2. You can add some fine sand into the soil to make it permeable and breathable. Normally, wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering. Occasionally add some potassium dihydrogen phosphate or bone meal to supplement nutrients.

Bougainvillea

Flowering period: November to June of the following year (about 240 days)

When spring comes, it is time for bougainvillea to appear. The blooming bougainvillea is colorful and lasts for more than half a year. It can be called a flowering machine!

Maintenance points:

1. Bougainvillea likes sufficient sunlight. The more sunlight it gets, the more flowers it will bloom. During the growing period, the soil in the pot can be kept moist, and the water can be controlled before flowering.

2. Prune frequently, and cut off dense branches, diseased branches, and overgrown branches in time. Also trim the remaining flowers after flowering.

Kalanchoe

Flowering period: December to April of the following year (about 150 days)

After the Chinese New Year, the most common flower grown at home is the longevity plant. After all, the flowering period of Kalanchoe is very long, and once it blooms, it will even bloom throughout the winter, so there is no need to worry about having no flowers to see at home!

Maintenance points:

1. Get more sun and less water. Usually place it on the south windowsill. When the weather gets warmer, move it outdoors to get more sun. Water it when you find the soil in the pot is dry. Water it about once every 5 days. Watering too much will cause the roots to rot easily.

2. Add some compound fertilizer during the growing period, and change it to potassium dihydrogen phosphate before flowering, which can make the Kalanchoe plant bloom more. Timely pruning after flowering can promote longevity and second flowering.

Geranium

Flowering period: October to April of the following year (about 210 days)

Huahua’s circle of friends has been flooded with geraniums recently. After all, the period after the Chinese New Year has been dominated by geraniums. Clusters of geraniums decorate the house, and just looking at them makes one feel very happy!

Maintenance points:

1. Strong light will lead to more flowers. It is best to place it outdoors for maintenance, and constantly pinch the tips during the growing period to grow large flower balls!

2. Change the pot once a year. You can add some chicken manure fertilizer to the bottom of the pot. Apply diluted liquid fertilizer once every 10 days during the growing period. Apply thin fertilizer frequently until flower buds emerge.

Rose

Flowering period: All year round in the south, from April to November in the north

Spring is the time when roses appear. Various varieties and colors bloom continuously and can bloom all year round. Once you fall into this trap, you will never be able to get out!

Maintenance points:

1. Ensure more than 6 hours of sunlight every day, and the roses grown outdoors will grow vigorously and bloom more. You can usually feed them with fish intestines, chicken manure and other phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to promote large and numerous flowers.

2. Pay attention to frequent pruning, cut off those overgrown branches, diseased branches, weak branches, etc., and prune in time after flowering, cut off the dead flowers to avoid nutrient consumption.

Dahlia

Flowering period: May-November

If I were to nominate a flower with a bloom as big as a fist, the first flower that comes to my mind would definitely be the dahlia! Not only do dahlias have large flowers, but they are also extremely beautiful and ethereal!

Maintenance points:

1. Try to plant it in a place with good light. If there is not enough sunlight, the flowers will be very small.

2. Choose sandy soil with good drainage. Water the plant when the soil is dry. Do not let water accumulate in the pot, otherwise the plant will easily rot.
