Where are chestnuts grown in abundance?

Chestnut is a plant that likes a warm environment. Generally, it is suitable for growing in an ambient temperature of about 15℃. When planting, the time also needs to be adapted to local conditions, that is, it should be determined according to the temperature. It is best to plant chestnuts after the temperature is greater than 10℃. The temperature cannot be too cold, otherwise it will affect the survival rate of the chestnut tree and increase the difficulty of chestnut tree management.

Chestnut Origin

There are many places in my country that are rich in chestnuts, mainly distributed in Macheng, Hubei, Qianxi, Hebei, Linyi, Shandong, Huairou, Beijing, Kuancheng Manchu Autonomous County and other areas. The chestnuts in these places have high yields and good quality and are very popular.

Chestnut is a specialty of Hebei Province, or more precisely, a specialty of Qianxi County, Tangshan, Hebei Province. It is also a traditional specialty agricultural product of Hebei Province. The chestnuts produced here are sweet in taste and exquisite in appearance. They have been cultivated for more than 2,000 years from ancient times to the present.

Where do chestnuts grow?

Chestnuts mainly grow in my country's North China region, the Yangtze River Basin, the Northwest region and other places. Specifically, they are mainly distributed in the Mountains and between the Taihang Mountains and the ancient Yellow River Road, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other Yangtze River Basins, Gansu and southern Shaanxi, northern Sichuan and other areas.

Chestnut market time

Generally speaking, chestnuts will mature and be available for sale around September and October, but since there are so many varieties of chestnuts, different varieties will have different maturity times. However, most of them mature in autumn. There are also chestnuts in some areas that mature earlier and are available for sale around mid-to-late August.
