How to grow primroses

How to grow primroses

1. Selection of cultivation soil

Soil selection is an important step in the cultivation process. However, it should be noted that different types of primroses prefer different types of soil. If it is a cold greenhouse type, such as "E Primrose", "Tibetan Primrose" and other varieties, it is best to use neutral soil. If the variety is used for flower bed arrangement, such as "Primula", you need to use soil with good drainage and rich in humus. However, all varieties should avoid acidic soil.

2. How to cultivate

Shallow pots or wooden boxes are usually used as containers for sowing. The plant spacing is about two centimeters. After sowing, place them in a warm, semi-shaded environment, water them in time, keep the soil slightly moist, and they will soon sprout. Afterwards, transplant them into a small pot with a diameter of about eight centimeters. When they grow a little bigger, move them into a slightly larger pot with a diameter of about twelve centimeters. When transplanting, pay attention to the planting depth, not too deep or too shallow. If it's too deep, the roots of the plant will easily rot. If it is too shallow, the roots will not be firm and it will easily fall over when the wind blows.

3. Notes

After cultivation, pay attention to adding appropriate fertilizers. Do not water too much, especially do not allow water to accumulate in the soil. The light should also be appropriate, and shade must be provided in summer.
