What soil is best for Molan?

What soil is best for Molan?

The roots of Mo Lan are very sensitive, so during the cultivation process, you need to use soil with good air permeability and high looseness. Because it consumes a lot of fertilizer during the growth process, you need to use soil with sufficient nutrients to cultivate it. Also, it should be noted that Mo Lan is a plant that likes acidic soil, so it needs to use acidic soil.

Soil for Molan

When growing Mo Orchid, it is more appropriate to use loose and slightly acidic soil that is rich in humus. You can buy special flower soil by yourself, or you can prepare the soil yourself at home. If you are planting Mo Orchid in the northern region of my country, you can also mix leaf mold and sand in a ratio of 5:1.

Method of preparing soil for Molan

1. Hard planting material: small stones + rock particles + humus + pine bark

The soil for Mo Lan made of hard planting material is generally made from these four materials. They are first sieved with a sieve, and then mixed in a ratio of 2:2:3:3. The larger particles are placed in the lower part of the flowerpot, and the smaller particles are placed in the upper part of the flowerpot. The Mo Lan grown with this method will be healthier.

2. Soft planting material: garden soil + granular wood + leaf humus

These three materials are usually used to prepare the soft planting material for Mo Lan, and they are mixed in a ratio of 3:3:4. The mixed soil has better air permeability, which helps Mo Lan to take root.

3. Others: humus soil + garden soil + river sand

If we don’t care about hard planting materials and soft planting materials, we can also prepare these three materials and mix them in a ratio of 1:1:1. The mixed soil in this way is not only rich in nutrients, but also has certain drainage and air permeability.

Black orchid soil replacement

It is best to change the soil for Mo Lan in spring or autumn when the climate is mild. After the Mo Lan is removed from the pot, its roots should be properly trimmed, and then the Mo Lan should be placed in a cool place to dry slightly. After drying, the processed Mo Lan should be planted and watered thoroughly. At the same time, good ventilation conditions should be maintained. After about one or two weeks, the Mo Lan will be able to grow normally.
