Cultivation methods and precautions of creeping grass

Creeping grass is relatively easy to grow. It likes to grow in a warm and cool environment. It has a certain degree of cold and drought resistance. It is one of the plants that is particularly easy to grow. Creeping grass has relatively low requirements for soil. As long as it is not airtight clay, it can survive in other soils.

How to grow creeping grass

1. Soil

Creeping grass does not have high requirements for soil. It can be planted in front of or behind the house. It can also be planted in potted plants, but it is generally propagated by division. It can be cultivated in garden soil, neutral soil and sandy soil.

2. Fertilization

After planting the creeping grass, you need to apply fertilizer once every 15 days. However, you need to water it after each application to avoid excessively concentrated fertilizer from burning the stems, leaves or roots of the creeping grass.

3. Temperature

The creeping grass will go dormant in late autumn and early winter, and its leaves will turn yellow. Therefore, it is recommended to control the temperature at 15-25 degrees in spring, summer and autumn, and at 5 degrees in winter.

4. Lighting

Creeping grass should not be placed in an environment with too strong light, because strong light will burn the leaves and cause them to turn yellow, so the creeping grass needs to be placed in an environment with scattered light.

Precautions for the maintenance of creeping grass

When caring for creeping grass, you must pay attention to watering. Because creeping grass grows relatively fast, its water consumption is relatively large, so it needs timely replenishment of water. During the growing period, it needs to be watered in time to keep the soil moist.
