The breeding methods and precautions of Shanyingquan

Shanyingquan is very easy to grow and reproduce. Cutting is one of the methods of reproduction, and another is grafting. It likes plenty of sunlight and is very drought-resistant and barren-resistant, but it also needs well-drained and breathable sandy soil. Of course, it is also relatively shade-tolerant. Shanyingquan is also relatively cold-resistant.

How to cultivate Shanyingquan

The water content of the entire plant of Shanyingquan is very high. When cultivating it, you should use a small and short pot, not a too large one. The soil should be as breathable as possible. It is recommended to add more than half of particles. During normal maintenance, it is recommended to put it in the place with the most light. When watering, wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry and water it in time to avoid damaging the roots. If you are afraid that it will have root rot, it will not be a problem to let it dry out for a few days before watering. As long as the temperature is not lower than zero degrees, Shanyingquan can grow very well.

1. Soil

Shanyingquan likes loose and breathable soil. Black soil and clay are not suitable for planting because of their high stickiness. When preparing the soil for it, it is best to use loose and breathable soil. You can use river sand, perlite and leaf mold to make nutrient soil.

2. Lighting

The mountain shadow cactus likes light, so it needs to be placed in a place with good light, ensuring no less than 8 hours of light a day. It needs to be properly shaded in the summer. Except for noon in summer, the mountain shadow cactus can be placed in the sun at other times. Adequate light can make the plant green, the leaves thick, and grow well.

3. Watering

The thick leaves of the mountain shadow boxing store a lot of water, so there is no need to water it too much. It is okay to water it once every 20 days or so. You need to wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering it. Water it thoroughly and be careful not to have water accumulation. After watering, the plant should be placed in a ventilated place for maintenance.

4. Temperature

The temperature suitable for the growth of Shanyingquan is between 15 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius. At noon in summer, when the temperature exceeds 35 degrees Celsius, the plant should be placed in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance. In winter, as long as the temperature is not lower than 10 degrees Celsius, the plant can grow normally.

Shanyingquan Maintenance Precautions

When caring for the mountain shadow boxing, you should pay attention to the fact that it may be harmed by rust, red spider mites and scale insects. You can spray them with 50 times diluted motor oil emulsion, and be careful to avoid scratches, because its surface is covered with small and plump thorns, so be careful when pruning.
