How to plant chrysanthemum seeds

Generally, the seeds can be harvested after the medal chrysanthemum blooms. After flowering, a fruit ball will be produced, which contains many seeds. After cutting it, you can get the seeds by rubbing it continuously.

The seeds of the medal chrysanthemum germinate best in an environment of 16-18℃, and are more suitable for autumn sowing. They can be planted in most parts of my country. If properly maintained, they will germinate 5-15 days after sowing.

The requirements for sowing time of Chrysanthemum are not very strict. As long as the temperature is suitable, it can be sown. However, the best sowing time is still March-April and September-October, because the temperature at this time is the most stable, which meets the germination requirements of seeds.

How to plant chrysanthemum seeds

1. Choose the soil

Soil is very important for chrysanthemum, because all the nutrients of chrysanthemum will need to be obtained from the soil, so be sure to choose deep, fertile, well-drained soil for planting.

2. Sowing method

The seeds of medallion can be sown directly. Sprinkle the seeds evenly in the prepared soil. The thickness of the covering soil should be about 1-2 times that of the seeds. Then cover the soil surface with a layer of vermiculite. This can achieve the effect of moisturizing and heat preservation, but do not cover too much to avoid affecting the germination of the seeds.
