Breeding methods and precautions for female chicks

The female chick is relatively easy to raise. It is not big, generally about 5 to 6 cm, and it is very easy to grow side buds. Pay attention to watering in daily maintenance. There must be enough water in spring and autumn. Water it thoroughly when the soil is dry. If it is summer, control the water. Water a small amount when it is dry. It does not need to be watered thoroughly. When watering, pay attention to avoid water accumulation in the center of the leaves.

How to raise female chicks

If you want to avoid problems during the maintenance of the female chick, you must first pay attention to the light intensity in summer. Its leaves are covered with only a very thin layer of white frost, and this layer of white frost can usually ensure that the female chick is not sunburned. If the temperature in summer exceeds 35℃, it will be completely unacceptable. It must be shaded in time. It needs sufficient water during the growing period, watering once every 2-3 days, but not too much, to avoid water accumulation and root rot.

1. Suitable soil:

The cultivation of female chicks requires the preparation of soil. Perlite, peat soil and vermiculite should be mixed in proportion and a small amount of bone meal should be added to increase the nutrients in the soil to meet the root growth needs of the female chicks succulents.

2. Temperature requirements:

The growth temperature of the female chick succulent should be controlled at around 20 degrees Celsius. Cooling measures should be taken in the hot summer weather, and water should be sprayed around it using a spray bottle to cool it down. The temperature in winter should not be lower than 5 degrees Celsius to avoid frost damage that affects its root growth.

3. Proper watering:

The female chick succulent needs sufficient water during the growing period to meet its growth needs. Water it once every 1-2 days in summer as the temperature is high and the water evaporates quickly. If the temperature is low in winter, the demand for water is low. Water it once every 5-10 days to keep the soil moist.

4. Adequate lighting:

The growth of the female chick succulent requires sufficient light conditions. Placing it in the sun for scattered light is conducive to promoting the growth of its roots and the whole plant. In summer, avoid strong direct sunlight and place it in a shaded and ventilated location for cultivation. In winter, place it in a well-lit location indoors.

Precautions for female chick care

If you want to avoid problems during the maintenance of the female chick, you must first pay special attention to the light intensity in summer, otherwise its leaves will be sunburned quickly. Also, it is very prone to diseases during its growth process, especially anthracnose and powdery mildew. It is necessary to use carbendazim solution to spray it for disinfection and sterilization to prevent the occurrence of diseases.
