Cultivation methods and precautions of alpine banyan

The mountain banyan is a very easy-to-grow plant. It has extremely strong vitality and is easy to reproduce. It can be cultivated through sowing, cuttings, etc., and it is not difficult to maintain.

Cultivation method of alpine banyan

1. Soil

The plant of alpine banyan does not have very high requirements for soil. You can prepare nutrient soil for it yourself using leaf mold, loess, river sand, coal slag, etc. This kind of soil is loose, breathable and has good drainage ability.

2. Moisture

The mountain banyan tree is drought-tolerant but not water-tolerant. When watering, water it when the soil is dry and do not allow water to accumulate in the soil. It only needs to be watered once a week or so.

3. Temperature

During the cultivation of alpine banyan, it is best to keep the temperature at around 20-30℃, which is the most conducive temperature for the growth of alpine banyan. The plant has poor cold resistance and can withstand a minimum temperature of 14℃.

4. Lighting

Only when there is sufficient light supply can the plant like alpine banyan grow healthily, but the light in summer is strong and the plant needs proper shade.

5. Fertilization

When fertilizing the alpine banyan tree, mainly use nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. In addition, you can use potassium dihydrogen phosphate once a month to increase the ornamental value of the plant.

Precautions for maintenance of alpine banyan

During the maintenance period of the mountain banyan, the potting soil generally needs to be replaced every two or three years. It is recommended to stop watering two weeks before repotting. It will be easier to remove the pot after the potting soil is dry. At the same time, the roots need to be properly pruned and disinfected.
