How to make the leaves of Anthurium green?

There are skills to caring for Anthurium. The editor will teach you three tricks. By then, the leaves will be big and bright, and a flower will bloom when a leaf grows. It will be most beautiful when the pot is full of flowers.

Step 1: Slightly acidic soil

Anthurium is native to areas with slightly acidic soil, that is, soil with a pH value of less than 7. Over a long period of time, it has become accustomed to slightly acidic soil and is averse to soil containing saline and alkali elements.

If saline soil with a pH value greater than 7 is used, the plant will experience poor growth and yellowing of the leaves due to lack of iron.

One is to use soil containing slightly acidic elements for planting, such as a mixture of 3 parts leaf mold and 2 parts coarse sand.

Second , during the growing season, use ferrous sulfate mixed with clean water to maintain soil acidity. Use it once every 30 days and two to three times a year.

Third, renew the soil every two years or so, which can also maintain the acidity of the soil.

Step 2: Soft light exposure

Anthurium likes a sunny growing environment and avoids direct exposure to strong light. If it is placed in a location exposed to strong light for a long time, the leaves will gradually turn yellow, and in severe cases, become dry and white.

If it is placed in a dark place indoors for a long time, the plant will not be able to carry out photosynthesis and will turn yellow due to lack of chlorophyll.

It is recommended that Anthurium needs sunlight during its growing period, dormancy period and flowering period to maintain the normal growth state of the plant.

Many friends don’t know how to place it. Personally, I think that indoor south-facing balconies can be placed all day long in all seasons except summer. In summer, it is suitable to provide shading.

Step 3: Keep warm in winter

Anthurium likes a high temperature growing environment, which means it is afraid of the cold winter. It is a flower plant that belongs to the southern climate, and the suitable growth temperature is between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius.

If the temperature in winter is lower than 13 degrees Celsius, the leaves will be frozen and turn yellow, and in severe cases they will wither and die.

It is recommended to keep warm in winter. In the south, just move it to a sheltered location indoors. In the north, move it to a room with heating supply, and maintain the minimum temperature above 13 degrees Celsius.

Step 4: Keep it moist

Anthurium likes a high humidity environment, which means it is afraid of a dry environment. If the humidity of the maintenance environment is below 50%, the leaves of the plant will lose water over a long period of time, resulting in yellowing of the leaves.

It is recommended that except for spring, the humidity of the maintenance environment does not need to be maintained. In the other three seasons of summer, autumn and winter, the humidity of the maintenance environment needs to be increased by spraying water through the air.

How to make Anthurium bloom continuously

Step 1: Adequate nutrition

The above four steps of maintenance are to keep the leaves of Anthurium green, that is, to maintain normal growth. If you want the plant to bloom continuously, you also need to carry out reasonable fertilization and maintenance to ensure that the plant has adequate nutrition.

How to fertilize?

Except for winter, fertilization can be applied in spring, autumn and summer.

For example, in spring, use nutrient-rich cake fertilizer water, mix it with clean water, and apply it every 30 days. At the beginning of summer, add potassium dihydrogen phosphate, mix it with clean water, and apply it every 30 days to promote flowering.
