How to grow a cactus to make it big and round (how to grow a new cactus to make it grow more vigorous)

The cactus plant is not big and is suitable for growing at home. It can absorb dust and purify the air. Some friends say that they can't grow a cactus well. The cactus is a lazy plant. In fact, you don't have to be too diligent. It is not difficult to grow it well.

In addition, some cacti grow in arid deserts, so they can endure the dry growing environment and climate for a long time, so their bodies will become thick and juicy, so cacti are very easy to grow.

If you also like to grow cacti and are attracted by their colors, only by doing it well can your cactus grow into a big round ball and bloom beautiful cactus flowers, so that the cactus in your home can also become round and big.

First, planting materials:

The cactus is suitable for growing in slightly acidic and neutral soils. However, the soil should be loose and breathable, well-drained, not hardened, and with a pH value between 6.3 and 7.0.

In the north, I suggest that you use slightly acidic soil for planting. The air in the north is drier and less likely to breed bacteria. Alkaline water can easily lead to alkaline soil. Flower soil can be a mixture of 1/3 coconut coir, humus soil, and small volcanic rock particles.

In the south, it is recommended that you use neutral soil. The air in the south is humid and easy to breed bacteria. Neutral soil can avoid bacterial growth. Flower soil can be made of honeycomb coal powder + humus soil + volcanic rock small particles, each taking one third and mixing them.

Second, temperature and light:

Cactus likes dryness and high temperature resistance. When it is maintained on a daily basis, it should be maintained in full sunlight. When the temperature is not higher than 35 degrees Celsius, there is no need for shade. When the temperature drops to 5 degrees Celsius, it can be brought indoors for the winter.

Third, watering:

Cactus is very drought-resistant. There is one in my hometown that fell on the wall. Although it has not been watered for ten years and it is not growing well, it is still growing and has not been affected in its survival. It can be seen that cactus is very drought-resistant and needs strong fertilization.

When watering a potted cactus, the main basis for judgment is the dryness of the shallow surface soil. Generally, if the surface soil is dry, watering can be extended by about 10 days. However, the time can be shortened appropriately in spring and winter, and in summer and autumn.

Fourth, fertilization:

Cactus does not require much nutrients, but if you master the method of applying thin fertilizer frequently, it can grow faster and stronger. It is generally recommended to use organic fertilizer for fertilization, and bury the "fermented sheep dung balls" shallowly in the shallow surface of the flower soil by loosening the soil once a month.

During the period from spring to autumn, as long as the temperature is within the suitable growth range, approximately between 16 and 32 degrees Celsius, organic fertilizer water can be supplemented once a month to increase nutrients and promote growth.

The flowering period of cactus varies according to different varieties. One month before the flowering period, you can use "potassium dihydrogen phosphate" diluted with water about 1200 times, spray it to wet the fleshy stems, and water the flower soil at the same time, which can promote more flowering of cactus.
