How to repot a fortune tree

How to repot a fortune tree

1. Loosen the soil and remove the pot

Before repotting the Money Tree, you need to shovel the soil around it to make it loose. Then secure the flowerpot in place, hold the plant's trunk with both hands, and pull it out of the pot. Don't pull it too fast, otherwise it may damage its roots.

2. Pruning and disinfection

After removing the plant from the pot, place it horizontally on the ground and use your hands to fiddle with the soil at the bottom to remove the soil on the outside. Then, prepare a pair of scissors and cut off the roots that are severely dry, old, black, or rotten. After cutting, you need to put it in disinfectant and soak it for about 30 minutes.

3. Repotting

Wash its flowerpot with water and place it in a ventilated place to dry. Then, make some new flower soil using leaf mold, garden soil, and river sand. And spread a layer at the bottom of the flower pot. After that, place the plant in a pot and add the remaining potting soil so that all of its roots are submerged. Finally, put it in a warm place and wait for it to adapt to the new environment.
