What is organic fertilizer made of?

What is real organic fertilizer?

Organic fertilizer is a very widely used fertilizer in agricultural planting. It has a very long origin. There are relevant fragments about organic fertilizer in the early agricultural records in my country.

With the development of science and technology and the progress of agriculture, the definition of organic fertilizer has become increasingly broad. In addition to traditional manure, cake fertilizer, biogas, etc. are all members of organic fertilizer. So what exactly makes organic fertilizer?

① Manure

Manure is the most traditional organic fertilizer and also the one with relatively high usage rate.

Generally, human and animal feces are the most common organic fertilizers. They must be fully decomposed before use, otherwise they will carry harmful substances such as pathogens and insect eggs, causing root burn, diseases and insect pests and other problems.

②Agricultural waste

In addition to manure, agricultural waste is also one of the main components of organic fertilizer.

These include straw, soybean meal, cottonseed meal, etc. These wastes also contain organic nutrients after fermentation, which are suitable for fertilization and topdressing during the growth period of crops to supplement various nutrients of crops.

③Industrial waste

Industrial waste is one of the more commonly used organic fertilizer raw materials in recent years, including wine dregs, vinegar dregs, cassava residues, peanut oil residues, sugar residues, etc.

Basically, they are the remaining parts of crops after extraction, and these wastes can also be fermented into relatively rich organic fertilizers.

④Household garbage

Domestic waste mainly refers to kitchen waste, leftovers, expired food, etc.

⑤ Urban sludge

We all know that soil is the basis for crop growth, but few people know that sludge actually contains nutrients and is one of the main components of organic fertilizers, such as river sludge and sewer sludge.

Generally speaking, the composition of organic fertilizer is relatively rich. For example, a mixture of animal manure + straw + oil residue can have a better effect.

This is because a single raw material contains a limited variety of organic matter and nutrients, and a combination of multiple ingredients can produce relatively rich nutrients to promote crop growth and development.

In addition, organic fertilizers need to be well decomposed, including EM composting method, fermentation ripening method, etc. If organic fertilizers are not fully decomposed, it will have a greater impact on crops, so it is a very important link.
