When is the best time to transplant Wutacai (transplanting time and method of Wutacai)

Wutacai is also called tacai, but because its leaves are darker than those of ordinary green leafy vegetables, it is a dark green, so some people also call it black vegetable. This vegetable is extremely cold-resistant and can be planted in pots all year round. It can be transplanted after about a month, so that it will grow better.

Wutacai needs to choose the right time to transplant. Generally, one month after sowing , when the leaves of the seedlings grow to 6-7 pieces , it can be transplanted and planted. At this time, the main stem is relatively strong and the survival rate of transplanting is relatively high.

1. Land preparation and fertilization

Wutacai is generally planted in places with sufficient sunlight and high terrain. In order to increase the fertility of the soil, you can apply sufficient base fertilizer after deep plowing , and 15,000-22,500 kg of manure can be applied per hectare. After fertilization, you should plough it carefully to make the soil looser.

2. Transplanting method

Dig out the seedlings of Wutacai carefully, do not damage the root system of the plant, and bring some old soil with you , so that it can adapt to the pot faster. Then you can transplant them. Each plant should be planted in a 25-33 cm square of soil and slightly pressed down.

Management of Wutacai after transplanting

Wutacai needs to be watered after transplanting so that it can grow quickly. Because its root system is shallow and its absorption capacity is weak, it needs to be fertilized frequently during the growth period to provide it with sufficient water and nutrients.
