Bean planting method steps Bean planting time and technology

Before cultivating beans, you should select high-quality seeds with large, neat, plump, shiny grains and no pests and diseases. Dry the seeds for 1 to 2 days before sowing, then soak them in warm water, and then you can cultivate them.

Bean planting conditions

1. Temperature conditions

Beans are heat-resistant vegetables. The minimum temperature for seed germination is between 8-12℃ , but beans are sensitive to low temperatures. Growth is inhibited below 10℃, the plants are frozen below 5℃, and die at 0℃.

2. Moisture conditions

The root system of beans is relatively strong, with strong water absorption capacity, small leaf transpiration, and is relatively drought-resistant. It requires an appropriate amount of water during its growing period , but too much moisture in the soil can easily cause yellowing and falling of leaves.

Bean planting time

Beans can be planted in spring, summer and autumn . If we include the current greenhouse vegetables, it can be said that they can be planted all year round, spring, summer, autumn and winter .

In spring, sowing is generally done from February to March, in summer, from May to August, and in autumn, from September to October. At the same time, the sowing time should be adjusted according to the different temperatures in different regions.

The whole process of growing beans

1. Variety selection

When planting beans, you can choose to plant three varieties of beans together . The advantage of doing so is that it can increase the yield of beans to a certain extent. At the same time, during the planting process, beans will also hybridize, and some new varieties of beans will be produced, which is conducive to improving the quality of beans.

2. Land preparation and fertilization

When planting beans, choose land with fertile soil and low waterlogging . While deep plowing, apply organic fertilizer, preferably farmyard manure or livestock manure.

3. Seed treatment

Before planting, dry the seeds in the sun for 2 days , then soak the seeds in warm water for about 24 hours , and finally take them out and soak them in medicine . The benefit of doing this is that it can promote the development speed of the seeds.

4. Planting and sowing

After the seeds are processed, they can be planted in rows or holes . Generally speaking, the sowing density is controlled at about 40 cm between rows and 30 cm between plants, and then covered with soil.

Key points for high-yield management of beans

1. Fertilization management

If you want a high yield of beans, when applying fertilizer, it is generally recommended to use low-nitrogen, medium-phosphorus, and high-potassium fertilizers , and at the same time use molybdenum and boron. Balanced fertilization will help the plants grow healthily, and produce more flowers and pods.

2. Watering management

Excessive watering during the bean seedling stage will cause the plant to grow vigorously, so it is generally necessary to properly stunt the seedlings during the seedling stage. If the bean plants have already grown vigorously, you can also spray them with growth control agents to promote the transition from vegetative growth to reproductive growth, while improving the robustness of the plants, thereby achieving the goal of high yield.
