Basidiospores are ejected from the gills of mature fruiting bodies. When they encounter a suitable environment, they grow germ tubes. They are multi-nucleated at the beginning and quickly form diaphragms. Each cell is relatively flat, orderly and dense, without the "yellow tip" phenomenon. After a few days of growth, old mushroom skins are likely to appear. The mushroom skins are tight and hard.

Hericium erinaceus

Hericium erinaceus is the fruiting body of the Hericium erinaceus of the family Odontaceae. It is named because of its appearance that resembles a monkey head. It is also called wool mushroom, hedgehog mushroom, cauliflower mushroom , etc. Hericium erinaceus has tender, fragrant and delicious flesh and high nutritional value. It is a medicinal and edible fungus and is very popular among consumers and the market.

Agrocybe
