Methods and techniques for hydroponic cultivation of green radish How to grow it more vigorously

In fact, as long as you control the water quality, maintain appropriate temperature and light, and supplement nutrients in time, it is easy to make the green radish grow vigorously. The following will explain to you in detail the hydroponic method of green radish.

Method of hydroponic cultivation of green radish

1. Hydroponics of branches

First, prepare a medium-sized container, add water, if it is tap water, place it outdoors to dry for a day. Then select a well-growing branch from a sturdy plant, cut off about 10 cm, not too long, and there should be about 5 leaves on the branch.

Insert it into a container, expose the leaves to water, and replace the water in time. New roots will grow in about 10 days.

2. Whole root hydroponics

Uproot the soil-planted green radish, wash the soil off the roots, remove the rotten parts with scissors, and disinfect with diluted potassium permanganate for 1 hour after cleaning to prevent root rot after hydroponics. Then place the roots in a prepared container and water, and change the water in time.

Precautions for hydroponic cultivation of green radish

1. Control water quality

For water-growing green radish, you can choose glass bottles or vases as containers. It is best to cut the 15-20 cm thick part, and use the green radish branches and aerial roots for cuttings. To keep it lush, the key is to keep the water fresh, and you can choose well water or tap water.

After cuttings are taken, the room temperature water should be changed every 2-3 days. It will take about 10 days for the plants to grow water and roots, and then the water should be changed once a week.

2. Ensure temperature and light

The growth temperature of the green radish should be above 20℃, and the temperature in winter should be kept above 10℃. At the same time, care should be taken to avoid excessive temperature differences between day and night. To make the leaves stretch, it is best to move it to a window or balcony with sufficient diffuse light.

3. Timely nutrition supplement

Although it is easy to survive, it needs to be constantly supplemented with nutrients in order to grow luxuriantly. You can choose white sugar solution or aspirin solution as the nutrient solution. Usually, it can be supplemented when changing the water, 3-5 drops per drop can meet the nutrients needed for the growth of the green radish.
