How to get grass seeds

Grass seed planting

Generally, grass seeds can be planted in February or March in spring. At this time, the temperature and humidity are suitable for seed germination, and the seeds will grow up around April or May.

After sowing the grass seeds, they need to be covered with a thin layer of soil. The small seeds lie evenly in the soil. On the sixth day, tender green buds begin to sprout, and they grow every day. Their color gradually changes from tender green to light green, and from light green to dark green. The specific planting methods for general grass seeds are as follows:

1. Renovate the soil in advance, remove larger stones and weeds, and disinfect it to provide the grass seeds with a well-ventilated, clean, and well-drained soil environment. When sowing, the grass seeds can be sown with fine sand.

2. After sowing, in order to make the seeds and soil contact more fully, and to prevent excessive rain in summer from washing away the grass seeds, the ground needs to be rolled, which can increase the germination rate of the seeds.

3. The last step is watering. In order to keep the soil moist more effectively, you can cover it with a layer of non-woven fabric to retain moisture and reduce water gain. Generally, if these are done well, seedlings will grow in one to three weeks. You can also carry out spray seeding. Spray seeding requires a large area of flat land with a certain slope. The land also needs to be cleaned and tidied and pressed with an iron roller.
