What are the precautions for the methods and steps of hydroponic carrots?

The method of hydroponic carrots is relatively simple. First, soak the carrots in disinfectant, then use a sterilized knife to cut off the bottom of the carrot, leaving 3 cm long, and then wash it with disinfectant.

It is best if the hydroponic tank is transparent . An empty mineral water bottle can be used to maintain a bottom length of 10 cm. Then add 1-2 cm deep water , and then place the processed carrots in a well-ventilated and diffused light place for maintenance.

Method and steps for hydroponic carrots

1. Processing carrots

Select firm and disease-free carrots, cut a 3 cm long piece from the root with a sterilized sharp knife, and wash them clean with clean water or carbendazim solution.

2. Choose a container

It is best to choose a transparent container. The simplest way is to cut off the bottom of the mineral water bottle, leaving a 10 cm length. It also needs to be disinfected with carbendazim and then poured to a depth of 1-2 cm.

3. Carry out hydroponics

Wash the carrots and put them in a container. During daily maintenance, pay attention to changing the water to avoid water deterioration. It is sufficient to change the water every 3-4 days . In addition, pay attention to the ventilation of the maintenance environment.

Precautions for hydroponic carrots

1. Maintain the environment

When growing carrots hydroponically, place them in a ventilated place and give the plants 5-6 hours of diffuse light a day so that the carrots can grow roots and sprouts as quickly as possible. Note that when the light is very strong, shade the carrots to prevent the seedlings from being exposed to strong light.

2. Improve ventilation

When hydroponically growing carrots, you should often open windows for ventilation to maintain air circulation and reduce the chance of disease. Note that during the rainy season, do not place carrots on the windowsill, otherwise the carrots will easily become damp and moldy.
