How to grow Fire Fox Succulent and what kind of pot is suitable for its growth

There are many succulent hybrid varieties now. Although the price is relatively high, many people still buy them because they are easy to grow. Fire Fox is also known as the Tubular Leaf Tangyin, but it is much easier to color than the Tangyin, and it is very easy to grow in groups. When it is in good condition, the color is bright red, and the leaf shape resembles the ears of small animals, which is very worth buying.

Fire Fox Succulent Breeding

The pot for the Fire Fox succulent should be larger to ensure its growth rate. A layer of expanded clay needs to be placed at the bottom of the pot to form a water filter layer. Foam is also a good option.

When preparing the soil, we need to consider both looseness and air permeability as well as sufficient fertility. A particle content of 40% to 60% is sufficient, and you can also sprinkle some slow-release fertilizer on the bottom.

In summer, watering can be done in the evening. When the temperature is above 35 degrees, the watering interval can be appropriately extended. If you are worried about water accumulation due to excessive watering, you can directly use the immersion method, which is safe and efficient. In winter, wait until the old leaves become soft before watering.

Fire Fox Maintenance Precautions

Since Fire Fox is a summer-type succulent, it can be exposed to the sun in the north, but it needs to be properly shaded in the south to avoid sunburn. As long as the temperature drops to the day-night temperature difference in autumn, it will color in a few days. In winter, when the temperature is below zero, move it to a sunny and temperature-appropriate place. The longer the light time, the richer the color.

It has a high demand for nutrients. If you can change the soil every one to two years, the nutrients in the new soil are completely sufficient. If you don't plan to change the pot for two years, you need to fertilize in spring and autumn. You can also add water to irrigate the roots or sprinkle some slow-release fertilizer on the surface of the potting soil.
