How to grow the branches of the almond succulent plant into an old pile? Will it freeze to death in winter?

The branched apricot is actually a succulent variety. When you see it, you will have an urge to take a bite. Because it is really cute, the emerald green leaves look like a long-eared rabbit. If you look closely, you will see glass-like particles on the leaves. The flowers are mainly white and usually bloom at the top.

Cultivation of succulent almonds

When choosing a pot for the branched apricot succulent, you need to consider the size of the plant and its growth habits. A porcelain pot or ceramic pot with strong air permeability will be fine. Common plastic pots are not recommended.

The soil for planting must be breathable, well-drained and nutritious, and you can add some granular coarse sand, perlite, etc.

In terms of watering, water when the soil is dry. When the soil is semi-dry or short-term water shortage, it will not have much impact on its growth. Because it has strong vitality, excessive water accumulation will hinder the root breathing ability, thus causing root problems.

Precautions for maintenance of branches and trunks of sweet almond

Light problem : The branched apricot can accept full-day light, but cannot withstand intense sunlight because it will enter a dormant state during the high temperature stage. Supplementary light will not promote growth but will cause pressure on the branches and leaves. Not all succulents need to grow under the sun.

Water and fertilizer issues : Water and fertilizer control should be stricter. It doesn't like fertilizer very much, and two topdressings a year is considered too much. You can apply enough base fertilizer when repotting in spring every year. The quality of fertilizer should be better, which has a long-term impact on the later growth of the plant.

Wintering temperature : Apricot is a kind of succulent plant, which is not very cold-resistant. The temperature during the winter must be kept above 0℃, otherwise it is easy to freeze to death. So after entering winter, we have to put it on the balcony for light, which can meet the light required for growth and prevent it from being frostbitten.
