Things to note when repotting Jade Plants

The Jade Plant should be repotted every one to two years . March to May in spring is the best time to repot the Jade Plant . The temperature rises and the plant can grow normally and quickly.

1. After repotting the Jade Plant, place it in a cool, ventilated, dark place. The plant that has just been repotted is very weak and easily sunburned. Generally, slowly increase the light after four or five days.

2. When repotting the Jade Plant, be gentle to avoid damaging the root system. The new potting soil needs to be exposed to the sun and disinfected before planting. After repotting the Jade Plant, the seedlings need to be slowly grown and water controlled.

1. Root pruning and drying

2. Watering

Do not water the Jade Plant immediately after repotting. Wait for four or five days before watering. Determine the amount of water based on the soil conditions. Just keep the soil slightly moist. Water more often if the soil is dry, and do not water if the soil is moist.

3. Soil for repotting

When repotting the Jade Plant, you need to keep one-third of the old soil and add new nutrient soil on this basis. This way, the soil will be looser, more breathable, and contain more nutrients. For potted plants at home, you can use garden soil mixed with leaf mold and river sand and disinfect it before use.
