Strawberry seed germination method Steps and techniques for seed germination

Strawberries are sweet and sour, juicy and rich in nutrients. Generally, they need to be germinated in advance when cultivated at home or planted on a large scale. This can reduce the chance of infection by pests and diseases during the growth period of strawberries and promote better and faster growth of strawberries.

Strawberry seed germination time

Strawberries can be planted all year round if the temperature is suitable, but the growing period of strawberries sown in different seasons is different. Strawberries sown in spring grow the fastest and taste better, so the germination time of strawberry seeds should be chosen before spring planting as much as possible, which is from March to May each year.

Strawberry Seed Germination Technology

1. Place the strawberry seeds in warm water at 55-60℃ and stir until the water temperature drops to 30℃, then soak them for about 10 hours, take them out, rub off the mucous membrane on the surface of the seeds, wash them with clean water and drain the water; or soak the strawberry seeds in clean water for 6 hours, and then soak them in a certain concentration of powder solution for 2-3 hours. This can disinfect and sterilize, and reduce the probability of disease during strawberry growth.

2. Spray breathable gauze or paper towels with water, place the strawberry seeds on it, cover it with another layer of paper towel or gauze, and place it in a ventilated environment at 25-30℃. Keep it moist during the period, and it will germinate in about half a month.
