Cordyceps sinensis growth conditions and characteristics

Cordyceps growth conditions

Cordyceps sinensis mostly grows in areas above 3,000 meters above sea level and is mostly distributed on plateau meadows. It is a complex of Cordyceps sinensis fungi and larvae, and its production areas are mainly concentrated in Qinghai, Tibet and other regions.

The most suitable annual average temperature for the growth of Cordyceps sinensis is 15℃, and the relative humidity of the air should be above 80%. It is a fungus and can withstand low temperatures.

Cordyceps sinensis growth period and process

Cordyceps sinensis mostly grows in high-altitude cold areas and snow-capped mountain grasslands, mainly distributed in Qinghai, Tibet, Sichuan and other places, with a growth cycle of 3 to 5 years.

The growth process of Cordyceps sinensis is relatively long. First, it transforms from an egg into a small insect, then burrows into moist soil. After being attacked by spores, the larvae's internal organs slowly disappear, and finally it turns into a body filled with mycelium.

Cordyceps sinensis planting process and methods

1. Bed planting: Bed planting is mostly a method of indoor planting, which requires the bed frame to be about 100 cm wide and 12 cm higher on all sides. When planting, first spread 5 to 7 cm of fine sand, then put in fungi and insects, cover with 3 to 5 cm of soil, and finally cover with a layer of plastic film.

2. Open-field cultivation: When cultivating Cordyceps sinensis in the open field, you must choose a good site, avoid direct sunlight, and ensure good drainage. You can use either flat ground or ridge methods for planting.
