Do peppers need to be watered every day?

Do you water peppers every day?

Peppers do not need to be watered every day. If you grow peppers in potted plants, you only need to water them once every 7 days. Make sure to soak all the soil. If you plant them in the ground, you can water them every 2-3 days. In summer, you can water them once every 1-2 days, and in winter, you only need to water them once every 15 days.

There is no fixed time for watering peppers. If planted in the ground, it is best to avoid the high temperature period at noon. Generally, well water, rain water, and river water are used for watering. If the base fertilizer is insufficient, potassium sulfate and water can also be used.

The correct way to water peppers

1. Watering newly planted peppers: If the peppers are transplanted from the field, you need to wait until the evening or on a cloudy day to plant them, and then water them thoroughly.

2. Watering of repotted peppers: Peppers that have just been repotted do not need to be watered immediately, as the roots of the plants may be injured at this time. Generally, it is necessary to wait until the plants adapt to the new environment before watering them.

3. Watering during the seedling stage: The pepper seedlings have small and sparse roots, and their absorption capacity is relatively weak, so when they are planted in the seedbed, there must be sufficient water but no water accumulation.

4. Watering during the fruit expansion period: During the period of pepper fruit expansion, the demand for water is higher, and the plants need to be watered in time to avoid insufficient water and nutrient supply when the fruit expands.

Overwatering of peppers

If you water the peppers too much, you need to turn the soil over to speed up the evaporation of water. Then you can add some dry soil to enhance the air permeability of the soil, and then keep the environment ventilated.
