How to grow hydroponic purple bamboo more vigorously

How to grow hydroponic purple bamboo more vigorously

Purple bamboo has tenacious vitality and upright branches, which symbolizes tenacity and implies nobleness. Many people choose purple bamboo for hydroponics at home. Hydroponically grown purple bamboo is clean and beautiful. As long as the water quality is clean and there is sufficient sunlight, the purple bamboo will grow vigorously, and its branches and leaves will be fresh and shiny.

Key points for hydroponic purple bamboo cultivation

1. Change water regularly

Hydroponic purple bamboo is cultivated indoors. Due to poor ventilation and high dust content, the water quality is easily affected. The polluted culture water is not conducive to the growth of the plant, so the water of hydroponic purple bamboo needs to be changed regularly, but not too frequently, about 10 days in summer and about 20 days in winter. Tap water needs to be dried in the sun for 2-3 days before use.

2. Adequate lighting

Purple bamboo is a sun-loving plant. If it lacks light for a long time, its photosynthesis will be weakened and it will easily grow poorly. Insufficient nutrients will cause the leaves to grow too long and lack luster. Purple bamboo needs to be placed in a sunny place to receive sunlight, especially in spring and winter. Try to place the purple bamboo in a warm place where it can receive sunlight all day.

Precautions for hydroponic purple bamboo cultivation

Purple bamboo grows fast. When the branches and leaves are dense, you need to cut off the dead and yellow leaves, divide the plants in time, or repot the purple bamboo in soil. Purple bamboo may also attract moths, so try to add some insect repellent when changing the water. If insect pests are found, spray carbendazim solution at night for treatment.
