How to quickly root white palm cuttings

How to quickly root white palm cuttings

The method of cuttings can be used to propagate white anthuriums. Cutting propagation is the simplest method and has a relatively high survival rate. The best time for cutting propagation of white anthuriums is March-April in spring and August-September in autumn. After cuttings, the environment must be kept moist so that roots can take shape faster.

1. Cutting soil

It is necessary to choose suitable soil for the cuttings of white calla lilies. It is suitable for growing in soils that are rich in trace elements and have good drainage. Therefore, it is best to use sandy loam that is rich in organic matter and has good air permeability as the base soil for cuttings. The soil needs to be renovated before cuttings to improve the air permeability of the soil.

2. Cutting plants

Choose a pair of scissors with sharp blades, and then use the scissors to cut off the thick branches of the white calla lily that are not affected by diseases and insect pests. At the same time, the bottom of the branches also need to be trimmed into an inverted triangle shape to facilitate the insertion of the white calla lily into the soil. Before cuttings, the pruning wounds of the plant need to be disinfected to prevent branch rot.

3. Cutting method

Soak the selected branches in clean water and drop an appropriate amount of rooting solution into the water. After waiting for a while, take out the calla lily, rinse it with clean water, and then insert it into the soil prepared in advance. Press the soil on both sides of the plant appropriately to prevent the plant from falling over.

4. Post-maintenance

After the white calla lily is grafted, you can pour an appropriate amount of water into the soil to soak all the soil so that the branches can adapt to the grafting environment as quickly as possible, so that they can take root faster. At the same time, after the plant resumes growth, you need to provide the white calla lily with appropriate light so that the plant can carry out photosynthesis normally and grow more vigorously.
