When does zinnia bloom?

When does zinnia bloom?

1. Flowering time

This flower is a type of chrysanthemum, so it blooms from June to September every year. The time mentioned here is the time when it blooms under normal circumstances, because in some places where flowers need to be viewed, people will use some means to change or prolong its flowering time.

2. Factors affecting flowering

Although its normal flowering period is from June to September, it will still be affected if it is not properly maintained. In mild cases, the flowering period will be delayed or shortened, while in severe cases, the flowering period will disappear. Therefore, the following factors should be taken into consideration during maintenance:

①Sunlight:

The growth rate of this plant in summer is faster than in the other three seasons, and it needs sufficient sunlight to compete with it. If there is not enough sunlight, it will easily grow too tall, which will seriously affect flowering and greatly reduce its disease resistance.

②Temperature:

The most suitable temperature for its growth is between 18 and 20 degrees during the day and between 10 and 15 degrees at night; its flowering period is in summer, so it is necessary to properly cool it down. If the temperature is too high, it will easily affect flowering.

③Nitrogen fertilizer:

Before and after the flowering period, the amount of nitrogen fertilizer applied should be reduced, friends should be aware of this.

④Watering:

To be precise, it is watering. Sufficient water is needed before and after the flowering period, but if you just water the soil, it may cause excessive growth. At this time, you can change to watering the leaves, but you must choose to water the leaves in the morning, which can prevent it from growing excessively while allowing it to absorb enough water.
