How to make coriander seeds germinate quickly? How to make seeds germinate quickly and how to process them

Coriander is very resistant to low temperatures. Generally, it can grow at -1 to 3 degrees. When the temperature is around 15 degrees, it is most suitable for coriander growth. If the temperature is above 20 degrees, the growth rate of coriander will become slower. When the temperature is above 30 degrees, it will stop growing.

The soil for planting coriander seeds should preferably have a strong ability to retain water and fertilizer. Coriander seeds will germinate faster in such soil.

Coriander Seed Germination Tips

1. The coriander seeds we buy are generally round. Because of its thick shell, it will affect germination. We only need to process it simply, such as soaking it in water for 10 hours and then rubbing the seeds open.

2. Generally, under suitable temperature conditions, the germination rate of seeds will not be too low, but the coriander seeds that have been germinated can achieve the effect of fast germination and uniform seedlings.

3. Wrap the seeds with a wet cloth and put them in the refrigerator for 24 hours at a temperature of about 10 degrees. Then take them out and put them in a 25-30℃ environment to germinate. In less than a day, you will find white sprouts in the coriander seeds and they can be sown.

4. Before sowing the processed coriander seeds, the soil must be watered thoroughly to keep the soil moist. When sowing, mix the seeds with fine sand. This will help to sow evenly and avoid uneven germination.

Coriander seed germination process

Prepare disease-free coriander seeds and use a small hammer to knock the seeds in half one by one so that they will germinate faster. At the same time, prepare fertile leaf mold or garden soil and cover them with a thin layer of soil after sowing. After about a week, the coriander seeds will germinate successfully.

Coriander Seed Harvest

Coriander seeds have a low germination rate, and the fastest germination period is 17-18 days, and the slowest period is about 20 days. If farmers plant it, it will be edible in about 40 days. If it is to be harvested, it will take about 50-70 days for it to grow to about 15-20 cm.

Professional coriander growers will accelerate the germination of coriander, which will increase the germination rate and reduce the germination time. In addition, they will also do a good job in fertilizer and water management. The coriander can be harvested and put on the market 30-40 days after germination when it grows to 15-20 cm.
