Cultivation method of cilantro

Cultivation method of cilantro

Soil environment

Garden soil is mixed with river silt and some humus in a ratio of 2:2:0.5. This is the soil generally used for cultivation. Because cilantro is an aquatic plant, it can be cultivated in water, but attention should be paid to the frequency of water changes and the liquid nutrients required by some hydroponic plants.

Fertilization

Coriander has a very high demand for fertilizer. Generally, fertilizer needs to be added every 20 days during the growing period. This is the amount of fertilizer for planting in an open space in the courtyard. If it is planted in a flowerpot, the amount of fertilizer needs to be reduced accordingly. For soil cultivation, Huabao No. 2 can be used. For hydroponics, the water needs to be kept neutrally acidic.

Watering

Coriander likes moisture, and the general cultivation environment must also ensure the supply of water. Because coriander has dense branches and leaves, it is not easy to retain water and will evaporate quickly. Therefore, in addition to watering, you should also use spray to spray the leaves frequently to provide water for the plant and increase the environmental humidity. A clean plant above ground also helps it grow more vigorously.

In winter, coriander does not need too much water. At this time, it is best to keep the soil environment in the flowerpot slightly dry. Water it appropriately, but do not cause waterlogging. If you use tap water for watering, you need to expose the water to the sun for a day or two to soften it before use.
