How to grow lilies for high yield

1. Planting time

Lilies are suitable for planting in spring and autumn, generally in March in spring and August-September in autumn. The climate is pleasant, the temperature is moderate and stable during these two times, which is very consistent with the growth needs of all flowers. The survival rate of lilies is relatively high.

2. Seed treatment

Choose well-growing and plump lily seeds, clean them, place them in a container filled with rooting agent, soak for about 20 minutes, then take them out and place them in a ventilated place to dry, cover the seeds with gauze, place them in the prepared moist sandy soil, and keep the temperature at around 24 degrees.

3. Prepare the soil

Lilies need loose, fertile and well-ventilated soil to grow. Sandy soil is a good choice. Sterilize the soil and then cover it with plastic film. Remove the plastic film after about a week and place it in a well-ventilated place to dry.

4. Seeding and planting

Plant the germinated seedlings in the soil with a spacing of 15-20 cm. Compact the soil around the roots. If you find that the seedlings are too long, trim them in time before planting them. After sowing, place them in a sunny location.
