How to care for newly bought Amaryllis

How to care for newly bought Amaryllis

1. How to deal with Amaryllis after buying it

The bulbs of newly purchased amaryllis need to be cleaned and the withered and rotten roots need to be cut off to minimize the chance of rot. Then place the bulbs in water with a slightly higher temperature to replenish water. Take it out after about 2 hours and disinfect it. You can use disinfectants such as carbendazim for disinfection.

2. How to cultivate the newly bought Amaryllis

1. Repotting: Place the treated amaryllis in loose, breathable and water-permeable soil for cultivation. The flowerpot should have good water permeability and be of suitable size and beautiful appearance.

2. Temperature: The temperature of the newly purchased amaryllis should not be too high. You can choose to place it in the corridor at 5-10 degrees Celsius or in a place in the home where the temperature is not too high.

3. Sunlight: It loves sunlight very much. Appropriate direct sunlight can increase its speed of adapting to the environment, but it should not be placed in direct sunlight for too long, otherwise it will become dehydrated and sunburned.
