How long does it take for broccoli to sprout?

Broccoli seeds will germinate in about 6-8 days. It is a semi-cold-resistant vegetable. The minimum temperature for germination is 3℃. The most suitable temperature for broccoli growth is 20-25℃, but the flower head is easily frozen at -5--3℃.

Broccoli germination time

It takes about 5-9 days for broccoli to germinate. It has strong vitality and is not demanding on low temperatures. Early-maturing broccoli can germinate as long as the temperature is below 20℃.

However, during the seedling stage, if the temperature is lower than 8℃, it will affect the growth of broccoli. Mid- and late-maturing broccoli has lower temperature requirements, so it should not be cultivated in seasons with higher temperatures, otherwise the broccoli will not grow properly.

Management of broccoli after emergence

1. After the broccoli sprouts, it needs an appropriate amount of additional fertilizer, sufficient light and water. In the early stage of broccoli growth, more fertilizer should be applied, which can make the seedlings grow better and make the leaves greener. Broccoli has a relatively large demand for water during the seedling period and needs appropriate amount of watering, but the amount of watering must be controlled.

2. After the broccoli sprouts, transplant it. Choose deep, loose and well-drained soil. Transplant the broccoli into the new soil. At the same time, water it appropriately to help the broccoli adapt to the new soil. Also pay attention to shading.
