How often should I water the Jade Dew?

When growing jade plant, you need to adjust the frequency of watering according to the weather and climate. In hot periods such as summer, the leaves of the plant will dry up and turn yellow due to lack of water. In seasons with high humidity such as autumn, you need to water it every ten days to prevent root rot.

The correct way to water Jade Dew

1. Watering amount

The jade plants in summer have very low requirements for water because they are in a dormant period at this time. However, it does not mean that they should not be watered. They still need to be watered in summer. But every time you water them, do not water them directly through like you do in spring. Half-watering is enough.

2. Watering time

In summer, noon is the time of the day with the highest temperature. You must not water the jade plant at this time. The best time to water the jade plant is 8-10 pm. If you water too much, there is still time to drain the water.

Overwatering

When the jade plant is overwatered, it often causes more serious problems. Not only may it cause the leaves to crack, but in severe cases it may cause root rot or root decay, thereby killing the plant. It can be seen that excessive watering is quite fatal to the jade plant.

When we find that we have watered too much, we must pour out the excess water in the pot in time, and then place the potted plants in a well-ventilated place for maintenance. It is recommended to change the pot and soil in time, and remove the plants from the original pots in time.

Then, trim off the rotten roots and sterilize the wounds. Then put the plant aside to dry for a few days until the wounds at the roots have healed or dried up, and then repot it.
