How to breed succulent plants

There are three main ways to propagate the succulent plant, namely division, sowing and leaf cuttings. Division is the most commonly used method, which is usually combined with repotting. The seedlings around the succulent plant need to be dug out with their roots, and the underground stems connected to the mother plant are cut off. Then a small pot is prepared and filled with soil. Then the seedlings can be directly planted with roots.

2. Sowing and propagation of succulent Yuanbao

You can get seeds from the succulent plant after it blooms. When the temperature remains at 19-24 degrees in spring, you can sow the plump seeds of the succulent plant in the soil. They will generally germinate about 10 days after sowing. After that, the soil needs to be kept relatively dry. After growing for half a year, they can be transplanted into pots.

3. Leaf cutting propagation of succulent Yuanbao

The succulent plant Yuanbao is propagated by leaf cuttings, which is usually done during the growing season in spring and autumn. You need to take well-growing, disease-free leaves from the plant, dry them in a ventilated and cool place, and then insert them into the soil prepared in advance. It will take about 2-3 weeks for roots to take root, and then you can transplant them into pots.
