1. Prepare seeds

Luffa can be planted by sowing seeds. Choose high-quality, high-yield, plump and healthy seeds. Expired seeds with yellow skin cannot be used for sowing, otherwise it will affect the germination rate.

2. Disinfection soaking

The loofah can be soaked in disinfectant solution for a period of time, then taken out and washed with clean water. It can also be soaked in warm water of 55-60 degrees for several hours to remove the bacteria on the surface, and placed in an environment of 25-30 degrees to keep warm and germinate.

3. Sowing

Water the soil to soak it, and after the soil is prepared, you can sow the seeds. If it is planted in the ground, you can sow 2 seeds in a small hole and cover them with hay. If it is potted, you can cover it with plastic wrap, which can keep it warm and moisturize.

Precautions for daily management of loofah

1. During the management of loofah, it is necessary to add fertilizer in time to ensure adequate nutrition. Usually, topdressing is required two or three times during the growth period, and thin fertilizer should be applied frequently. It is a short-day plant and cannot be lacking in light. It should be exposed to the sun more often. Pay attention to blocking strong light in time. After the fruit is formed, it can be given full sun.

2. Loofah likes a humid environment, but cannot tolerate waterlogging. Watering should be reasonable and the amount of water should be controlled. It is best to water it when the soil is dry and wet when the soil is wet. In addition, it is necessary to prune it in time, cut off yellow and withered branches and vines, and reduce nutrient consumption.
