At this time, the temperature is suitable and the survival rate is high.

Common propagation methods of ebony

1. Ebony seed propagation

Ebony can be propagated by sowing. Prepare the ebony seeds, then disinfect the seeds, soak the seeds in a solution of carbendazim, and then take them out and dry them after soaking for a period of time.

Prepare the seedling box for sowing and raising seedlings, fill it with loose, breathable and well-drained seedling substrate, evenly sow the processed seeds on the substrate, water it sufficiently, cover the lid of the seedling box, and then place it in a bright and ventilated place, waiting for the seeds to germinate. After the seedlings germinate, be sure to maintain good ventilation.

2. Ebony leaf cutting propagation

Ebony can also be propagated by leaf cuttings. Prepare a well-permeable substrate, disinfect it in advance, choose a strong and well-growing mother plant, cut the full leaves from the ebony plant, place it in a cool place nearby to dry the cut, then place it on the soil surface, spray water appropriately to keep the soil slightly moist, and it will take root and sprout after a period of time.

3. Ebony cuttings

Ebony can also be propagated by beheading and cuttings. Prepare a well-growing ebony succulent, use a sharp and sterilized knife to cut off the top branches, then place the cut parts in a cool place to dry, and cut the branch parts into the substrate, gently press the soil, and water it in small amounts after rooting to promote the growth of the succulent ebony.
