Rose cutting timeThe time for rose cuttings is quite special. They can be done in February and March in spring, July and August in summer, and December and January in winter. Rose cutting method1. Select branches : When selecting branches, choose branches that are strong, growing well and free of diseases and pests. After selecting the branches, cut off the leaves at the bottom of the branches, leaving 3-4 leaves at the top, cut the bottom of the rose branch along 45°, then soak it in rooting water for about 5 hours, take it out and place it in a dark and ventilated place to dry. 2. Prepare the soil : Choose soil with good air permeability and drainage, and then disinfect it with a multi-bacteria solution. 3. Prepare for cuttings : Insert the treated branches into the soil (not too deep), and then water to keep it moist. Rose cuttings precautionsAfter the roses are grafted, the soil should be soaked when watering for the first time, and then only the soil needs to be slightly moistened when watering afterwards. Place the roses in a place with scattered light. After the roots grow, replace the small pot with a larger one, and then cultivate them according to the normal watering amount, and gradually increase the light. When roses are being transplanted and repotted, some slow-release fertilizer containing phosphorus and potassium should be put into the soil. When fertilizing, remember to place a layer of soil around the roots of the plants to prevent fertilizer damage. |
