Is it better to grow precious bamboo in water or soil?

Precious bamboo is a relatively common plant. It can be grown in hydroponics or in soil, and it can grow very well. However, the best option is to grow it in soil because the nutrients in the soil are more sufficient, and precious bamboo can grow better easily.

Methods and precautions for hydroponic cultivation of precious bamboo

Leaf treatment : Before hydroponically cultivating precious bamboo, cut off the leaves at the base first. The amount of cutting depends on the size of the container mouth. Just remove the leaves below the bottle mouth. In addition, use scissors or a knife to cut off a part at an angle at the tail end, which can allow the precious bamboo to absorb water better.

Note : It is best to use well water or purified water for hydroponic precious bamboo. If you use tap water, you need to dry it in the natural environment for more than a day. The amount of water for hydroponics only needs to reach one-third of the vase. Never exceed two-thirds, so as to avoid the water level being too high and affecting the roots' absorption of oxygen.

Methods of cultivating precious bamboo in soil

Soil selection : Precious bamboo is mostly cultivated in water. If it is cultivated in the soil, be sure to choose loose and fertile soil. It can also be mixed directly with leaf mold and garden soil for the cultivation of precious bamboo. You can also add some peat soil.

Watering : Precious bamboo likes moisture, so water it frequently. Do not wait until the soil is very dry before watering it. The soil should be kept moist at all times. However, there should not be too much water in the pot. Water it once every 2-4 days on average to give the precious bamboo sufficient water.
