How to grow White Moon Shadow Succulent?

The full name of the White Moon Shadow succulent is "Alba White Moon Shadow". It has a small plant shape, thick leaves, and neatly arranged leaves. It looks very beautiful when grown. So how do you grow the White Moon Shadow succulent? Let’s learn more about it below.

1. Soil preparation

White moon shadow likes loose and breathable soil. Use 30% peat soil and 70% granular soil for the soil mixture. Because its root system is not very developed, you can add a little bone meal. Put some white and pink when potting to prevent fungal and insect pests.

2. Flower Pots

Never use large flowerpots for maintenance. If the flowerpots are too large, after watering, the plants will be in a humid environment for a long time, which will easily cause waterlogging and root rot. You can use a small flowerpot to grow it, as long as it can be planted in a small size. It is not too late to change the pot after the plant has grown out of the pot.

3. Watering

White Moon Shadow itself is very drought-resistant, so do not water it frequently, especially in autumn and winter. The temperature difference at this time is low, the plant grows slowly, and the demand for water is not very high. Therefore, do not water it frequently. Excessive watering will cause waterlogging and root rot, which will also affect the coloring.

4. Lighting

As a succulent plant , White Moon Shadow is very light-loving and grows rapidly. Except for the hot summer when it needs proper shade, it is best to expose it to the sun more at other times and have sufficient light for photosynthesis. In autumn and winter, coupled with the appropriate temperature difference, the plant is easy to color, with pink leaves and a fairy-like look.

5. Nutrients

Nutrients are essential for the growth of White Moon Shadow. You can choose organic fertilizer . Fertilizer should be applied once a month. Control the amount each time to avoid burning the roots with too much fertilizer or insufficient nutrition.

6. Ventilation

When caring for the white moon shadow, you must maintain a ventilated and breathable environment. It is recommended that you place it directly outdoors for maintenance. Outdoors, there is sufficient light and appropriate scattered light, which is very helpful for the growth and coloring of the plant, and it grows rapidly.

7. Notes

As the temperature rises in the summer, the white moon shadow will slowly enter a dormant state. At this time, we need to shade the white moon shadow. If it is raised outdoors, it is best to move it indoors, increase indoor ventilation, and avoid direct sunlight.
