Oilseed wheat planting time

Lettuce is a seasonal vegetable, usually planted in spring, specifically in April and May. However, with the development of agricultural technology, it can be planted in greenhouses all year round.

Oil wheat planting method

1. Land preparation

Oil wheat is not picky about soil, but the soil should be plowed deeply before planting, and sufficient well-rotted farmyard manure should be applied during deep plowing. Oil wheat likes fertilizer and has certain requirements for the fertility of the soil. The base fertilizer should be mainly farmyard manure, and it should be mixed with urea, diammonium phosphate, potassium phosphate and other compound fertilizers and spread on the soil after mixing evenly.

2. Planting

Irrigate the soil with water in advance before sowing. After sowing the oil wheat seeds into the soil, sprinkle them with farmyard manure and fine soil. If the temperature is not high, cover them with a layer of film to accelerate germination.

3. Planting

About a week after all the seeds have sprouted, they can be transplanted with a row spacing of 15 cm and a plant spacing of 20 cm. This will result in a higher yield for the lettuce and can also prevent diseases caused by overcrowding.

Matters Needing Attention in Planting Oil Wheat

After planting oil wheat, management should be strengthened. A large amount of fertilizer and water need to be provided during the growing period. Fertilization is usually carried out three times during the entire growing period. Generally, foliar fertilizers such as potassium dihydrogen phosphate are diluted with water and sprayed on the leaves.
