1. Can roses be grown hydroponically?

Roses can be grown hydroponically by cuttings. However, if you want it to take root and survive as soon as possible, you must pay attention to the method of cuttings and the management after cuttings. Hydroponic cuttings make it easier to observe their growth and look cleaner and more beautiful.

2. Rose hydroponic rooting method

1. Pruning branches: Before cuttings, you should prune the branches appropriately, trim the bottom of the branches into an inclined surface, and cut off most of the leaves on top to reduce water consumption and prevent the leaves from getting wet and rotting.

2. Choose a container: The container for cuttings should be a transparent plastic bottle or glass bottle, which is more convenient for observation and can also be used to judge whether water needs to be changed and whether the plant is alive.

3. Water for cuttings: When cuttings, just put the processed branches directly into the bottle. Pay attention to controlling the amount of water. The water cannot submerge all the branches. Also, be sure to change the water frequently. In the early stage, you need to change the water every two or three days, and once a week after the roots have taken shape. Usually placed in a place with diffused light and good ventilation.

4. Post-management: Change the water frequently before rooting, otherwise bacteria will easily breed at the bottom of the water and affect rooting. And when changing the water, clean the mucus on the branches. If conditions permit, add an appropriate amount of rooting powder to promote rooting as soon as possible.
