1. Function

Mugwort has a wide range of uses. First of all, it has excellent antibacterial and antiviral effects. Secondly, it can relieve asthma and cough, and has a positive effect on hemostasis and anticoagulation. In addition, it can resist allergies, help calm down, and also has a good effect on protecting the liver and promoting bile secretion.

2. Are the two the same?

Mugwort and mugwort are the same, just with different names. It is a perennial herb of the genus Artemisia in the Asteraceae family with a strong aroma. It has a thick taproot and many lateral roots. The stem is solitary and can reach a height of 80-150 cm. The leaves are thick papery with short grayish-white hairs on the surface. Its flowers are in head-shaped inflorescences, with small purple flowers and no pedicels.

1. Soak in water: Mugwort leaves can be used to soak in water for drinking. Take an appropriate amount of leaves, wash them, put them in a cup, and pour in hot water to brew. It can not only kill bacteria and disinfect, but also enhance immunity, and it also has the effect of regulating menstruation for women.

2. Edibility: There are many ways to eat mugwort. Its young shoots and seedlings can be used as vegetables, or added to soups or porridge, or squeezed into juice to make pasta, such as mugwort balls, glutinous rice cakes, etc.

3. Fire moxibustion: a common external application method of mugwort. Dry it and crush it into moxa sticks, light them and place them on the acupuncture points for fumigation. Fire moxibustion on different acupoints can treat different diseases, and the effect is better when combined with acupuncture.

4. Bathing: Mugwort can also be used for bathing. Put it in the bathtub and soak it in boiling water for about 10 minutes. Then take it out and add warm water. Make sure the water temperature is appropriate and you can take a bath.
