When do hyacinths bloom?

1. Flowering period

Hyacinths bloom at different times due to different varieties and origins. In the north, it usually blooms in January and February, while in the south, it blooms in February and March. They usually bloom around March and gradually end in April and May. The flowering period can last for about half a month.

2. Methods to prolong the flowering period

Hyacinth flowers are gorgeous and spectacular, but their flowering period is short and the viewing time is not satisfactory. However, we can use some methods to extend the flowering period and increase their ornamental value.

① When it is about to bloom, crush some mixed vitamin tablets into powder and bury them on the edge of the pot.

② Place the flowers in a location with diffused light and a relatively cool and suitable temperature.

③ Ensure sufficient water and fertilizer, and apply top dressing once before and after flowering.
