Planting time of Isatis

Isatis is usually planted around the Qingming Festival. It prefers a warm climate environment. The temperature cannot be too high or too low. If it is higher than 30 degrees or lower than 15 degrees, it will cause its growth to be slow. Therefore, it is not suitable to be planted in summer and winter.

Isatis indigo plantation method

1. Seed soaking: Before planting, isatis needs to be soaked. The seeds should be soaked in clean water for 2-4 hours. During the soaking, they need to be stirred continuously to remove impurities and seed coats. After that, they need to be placed in a cool place to dry.

2. Site selection and land preparation: When planting Isatis, you need to choose sandy soil without water accumulation, because it has good water and fertilizer retention capabilities, which is more conducive to the growth of the plant. Deep plowing and fertilization are required before sowing.

3. Planting: When sowing Isatis, you need to mix the seeds with fine soil, then sprinkle them in the dug trench and fill the soil, then water them once to keep the soil moist.

Precautions for planting Isatis

When caring for Isatis indigo, you must water it regularly to keep the soil moist. It will sprout in about 7-10 days. When caring for it in the seedling stage, you need to pay attention that it is a light-loving plant, so it must have sufficient sunlight, which is more conducive to the growth of the plant.
