Snake Bean Planting Time and Method

Snake bean planting time

If snake beans are grown in a greenhouse, they can be sown all year round. The double-layer film of the arch shed is generally used for planting in late February. If the plastic film is covered in late March, it can be planted in the open field in late April, and a layer of plastic film can be added.

Snake bean planting method

1. Soaking seeds for germination: When planting snake beans, you need to use relatively full seeds. Its seed coat is relatively thick, so it needs to be soaked in warm water before planting. When the seeds are relatively soft, you can use gauze to wrap them to keep them moist and place them in a warm place for germination.

2. Sowing and planting: After the snake bean seeds are processed, they can be sown in fertile soil. If the soil fertility is insufficient, you can apply enough base fertilizer and water it once after planting to keep the soil moist.

3. Maintenance and management: After sowing, snake beans need a sufficient moisture environment, but water accumulation should be avoided, and the temperature should be kept between 20-30 degrees, which is more conducive to growth.

Snake bean planting precautions

After the snake beans are planted and the seedlings have grown, they need to be fertilized once to promote the growth of seedlings. This should mainly be composed of decomposed cake fertilizer. In the later stage, some compound fertilizer can be applied appropriately, and water should be applied in time to keep the soil moist.
