When planting watermelons, it is best to sow them in mid-to-late March in spring. If they are planted in a greenhouse, the time can be advanced to mid-to-late February. Its planting time is not fixed and can be divided into three planting times: spring, summer, and autumn. It can be planted according to needs.

Watermelon Planting Methods

1. Choose varieties: When planting watermelon, you need to choose better varieties, which can increase the germination rate, and soak the seeds to germinate, so that the germination rate will be higher after sowing.

2. Prepare the soil: In order to grow better, watermelon needs to be planted in loose and breathable soil, and some decomposed farmyard manure should be applied to improve its fertility.

3. Sowing: When sowing watermelon seeds, you can directly sow them in the soil. You need to cover the surface with a layer of soil and then cover it with a film to keep it moist and warm.

Watermelon planting precautions

After sowing, watermelon needs sufficient sunlight so that it can carry out photosynthesis and increase its growth rate. During daily maintenance, it is also necessary to water and fertilize regularly to ensure that it has sufficient nutrients and water for growth.
