The difference between sage and rosemary

Sage is shrub-like and relatively short, with oval, hairy, gray-green or pale-green leaves, cymes that are purple, pink or white, flowers that have a pungent aroma, and an early flowering period. Rosemary has a taller plant, with dark grey stems and hairy young branches that change from quadrangular to cylindrical in the process of growing into old branches. The leaves are clustered, with short petioles or no petioles, and the flowers are opposite, with a late flowering period.

Due to the different growth habits of sage and rosemary, the growing areas of the two plants are also very different. In my country, sage is generally found along the Yangtze River and to its south, and is distributed in all provinces except plateaus and basin areas.
