Sunflower growth habits

Sunflowers can be planted in all seasons, mainly in summer and winter. The flowering period of sunflowers can last for more than two weeks.

Where do sunflowers like to grow?

Sunflowers are native to North America and are cultivated in various parts of the world. In my country, they are mainly grown in the Northeast, Northwest and North China regions.

The cultivation of sunflowers has low soil requirements and can grow on all kinds of soils, from fertile soil to dry land and saline-alkali land. Sunflowers have a strong ability to tolerate salt and alkali.

Sunflower growth environment and conditions

1. Temperature

Sunflowers are native to tropical regions. They have a strong adaptability to temperature and are a warm-loving and cold-resistant crop. During the growth process of sunflowers, they can grow normally as long as the temperature is not lower than 10 degrees. Within the suitable temperature range, the higher the temperature, the faster it develops.

2. Moisture

Sunflowers are particularly tall and have many dense leaves. They are water-intensive plants. They have different water requirements at different growth stages. The water requirements at the early stage are not high, and a proper dry environment is conducive to the growth of the roots. There are certain water requirements during the growth period. If there is a lack of water during this period, the yield will be greatly affected.
