Can lettuce be grown hydroponically?

Lettuce can be grown hydroponically or in soil. The water for hydroponic lettuce needs to be changed every week, otherwise it will attract pests, and the rotten roots need to be trimmed in time. The soil culture method for lettuce is relatively simple, the cultivation process is more convenient than hydroponics, and the growth of the plants is also particularly good.

Lettuce hydroponic cultivation method

1. Seedling cultivation: When growing lettuce in hydroponics, you need to carry out the seedling cultivation process first. Choose a seedling tray and use vermiculite as the substrate for seedling cultivation. Before hydroponics, soak the vermiculite with water and sprinkle the seeds evenly on the vermiculite.

2. Planting: When growing lettuce hydroponically, you need to prepare a foam board, then make a hole every 20 cm or so, and stuff the seedlings into the hole in the foam board. At the same time, you need to keep the stems breathable to reduce the occurrence of diseases in the stems.

Precautions for water-based lettuce

1. Seasonal arrangement: When growing lettuce in hydroponics, pay attention to the habits of lettuce. Lettuce is a cold-loving plant, so it is best to control the temperature between 15 and 25 degrees in spring and winter. If it is below 15 degrees, it will grow slowly, and if it is above 30 degrees, it will easily lead to poor growth.

2. Add nutrient solution: When hydroponically growing lettuce, you need to add nutrient solution and keep it clean. While disinfecting the nutrient solution, you need to update the nutrient solution once a month to prevent the occurrence of diseases.
